CBD oil is a dietary supplement that is providing relief from numerous complaints for more and more people. In recent months, CBD oil has been gaining merciless popularity among ever larger groups of people, so I’ve written this blog in which I gather all the information about the benefits of this particular oil on the rise.
What is CBD oil?
CBD is short for Cannabidiol and is one of the active ingredients in hemp or CBD. There is absolutely no THC in CBD oil. CBD oil is created by extracting dried tops of hemp using CO2.
CBD oil always consists of a mixture of vegetable oil and CBD. 100% CBD oil does not exist. The reason for this is because it is not possible to properly dose 100% CBD and therefore a base oil is used as a diluent. So: the basis of CBD oil is formed by a vegetable oil (this is usually hemp oil or olive oil), supplemented with a few percent of pure CBD.
Benefits of CBD oil
It’s incredible but no oil has been attributed more efficacy than this one. CBD oil is expected to work in controlling various symptoms in various diseases or syndromes. It is also expected that CBD oil can help cure certain diseases.
It is used as a remedy for complaints and syndromes such as insomnia, ADHD, osteoarthritis and various skin conditions including psoriasis.
Please note that there is no claim on CBD oil. That means that the operation of CBD oil is still insufficient (medical) research to actually claim improvement in diseases. The possible medicinal effect of CBD has only recently been discovered, so there is still a lot of medical research to be done to qualify for claims at all.

CBD Oil and Sleep
Cannabidiol is a very natural support for sleep. More and more people with sleep problems are using CBD oil.
How does CBD oil help with sleep? When used in the evening, people experience that CBD is a natural calming agent and that you sleep better on it and get a healthy night’s sleep from it. CBD oil seems to have an influence on falling asleep easier and being able to sleep longer.
Sleep problems can be caused by muscle tension. One of the properties of CBD is that it helps relax the muscles. If your insomnia is caused by muscle tension, then it is interesting to try CBD to support your sleep. Poor sleep can further be caused by inner turmoil, grinding thoughts, periods of stress, tensions, but also a bad place to sleep or irregular sleep pattern by for example shift work or night work. CBD can make a positive contribution to these causes of poor sleep. Find the best cbd oils uk by going to this link.
CBD as an Anti-Inflammatory
For years, the presumed effect of CBD was assigned to THC. Meanwhile, more and more research shows that the ingredient CBD is the ingredient with an important effect on our health. There has been frequent research into the effect of CBD as an anti-inflammatory and the results are promising.
CBD Oil for Osteoarthritis
In 2016, I was told that I had osteoarthritis in a few joints. Osteoarthritis, according to medical science, is a chronic condition that cannot be cured. In short, cartilage in joints wears down, allowing bones to rub together and nerves to become pinched. This leads to irritation and pain and eventually stiffness in the affected joints. Medications and exercise therapy are used to relieve the pain and try to slow down further wear and tear.
Against the pain of the osteoarthritis I received the painkiller diclofenac. The pain in the joints diminished a little, but in its place came back an annoying headache and dizziness. My body also soured considerably! I stopped taking it after 2 months.
I then read several experimental studies on the use of CBD oil for osteoarthritis. Although none of these studies were large enough for any statistical relevance, nor were there any long-term studies, I put it to the test and started using 2-3 drops of CBD oil per day. After about 2 to 3 months my pain reduced significantly but the crazy thing is that the inflammatory symptoms also reduced tremendously (less redness, less thickness, less pain and sensitivity when pressure is put on the joints etc.).
Again, there are no claims and manufacturers of this oil may not claim anything but under the motto it doesn’t hurt I am personally very happy that I have tried it! I have been using 2 to 3 drops of CBD oil per day for almost a year now. I never tried THC oil before, only CBD oil.
